Californian legislators are evaluating 30,000 dollars per day fines against those helping illicit operators with building space, advertising platforms, and other aid. Ouch! They're also considering a law to mandate LED grow lights to save energy. Not only would there be large upfront costs, but it also would make the farms less productive, costing some growers millions. And after months of back-and-forth negotiating between the Sanders and Biden teams, lots of policies have been agreed upon but full cannabis legalization isn't one of them. As of now, Biden wants to decriminalize cannabis and define it as schedule II, though there are plenty of lingering questions. Speaking of legality, arrested for having one of the biggest LSD manufacturing operations, William Pickard, was released from jail. It sounds like this guy’s story would make quite the Netflix series.
