The coronavirus is boosting cannabis sales, especially in delivery. While states and local governments are still figuring out what to do, it comes down to whether they consider cannabis an essential good due to its medicinal value, or not. We have a partial list of how these rules vary on a state by state and locality basis. I thought that Washington encouraging social distancing by allowing cannabis stores to sell in their parking lots was pretty smart! In California, local officials have closed some cannabis manufacturers. We hope manufacturers can convince localities that producers are vital participants in the supply chain of an essential medicine. If this is you, we think it would be easier to convince the city now before things get worse. Good luck!
Colorado continues to lead drug reform as it not only adjusted the cannabis possession laws but defelonized the possession of fewer than four grams of Schedule I - IV drugs such as cocaine, crack morphine, meth to allow for more treatment.
