Hi,

For the first time, the House of Representatives voted for cannabis legalization as they passed the very sensible Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) act of 2019. Yes, they have been talking about this for that long. This won’t pass the Senate this session but it’s historic and serves to encourage Biden to keep his commitment to cannabis. An easier path to legalizing cannabis is if the Democrats win the two runoff Senate races in Georgia on January 5th. This exciting election never ends! Lol.

For cannabis businesses, we included information on an R & D tax credit to help counter the burdensome 280E tax law. Speaking of laws, California has released an expanded list of rules related to promotional items and advertising. Feel free to subscribe to our CBD or Investors International News Roundup.

Thanks and have a tremendous week!

Jessica
