A scientist-driven lawsuit claims that despite their promises, the DEA has been sitting on cannabis cultivator research applications instead of accepting or rejecting them. We thought this would happen when they didn't allow researchers to simply buy lab-tested cannabis from legal dispensaries. The House finally passed the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act of 2019, as the Democrats send a message to Biden that they want legalization. If Democrats win both Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5th, they will control congress and pass cannabis legalization. Republican Senator David Perdue declined to attend last night's debate so Democrat challenger Jon Ossoff berated an empty podium...The Politics of 2020. ☺ Hopefully, if there isn’t a change in Senate leadership, some republicans coming from pro-cannabis states will help cannabis banking reach the floor and pass in 2021.
