Weekly CBD News Roundup:
Hi,
The DEA, which is not exactly the hemp industry’s best friend, has stated that concentrating hemp (such as in extracts) temporarily gives it more than 0.3% THC, and therefore makes CBD products illegal. Some argue that this conflicts with the Farm Bill. I wish The DEA would go to Afghanistan to survey poppy fields or something and leave US hemp farmers alone. :)
The USDA denied several states’ proposed hemp plans which have caused states like New York, to threaten to go rogue if the USDA doesn’t make their requirements more practical. And we have an opinion piece that theorizes what the FDA’s recent activity means for future CBD regulations.
Feel free to subscribe to our THC or Investors News Roundups if you are interested.
Thanks and have an incredible week!
Jessica
